William Lyon Mackenzie King

William Lyon Mackenzie King was born in Berlin (now Kitchener), Ontario, December 17, 1874 and died in Kingsmere, Quebec on July 22, 1950. He was the youngest serving Prime Minister in Canada. He created the old age pension in 1926 and unemployment insurance in 1940. He also created family allowances in 1944.
